If you wish you can leave comments to various posts in different locations throughout this blog.

Particpate in the Debate
As it turns out the greater number of comments have been posted on our contact page.
Formerly I simply had a link to our email listed on our contact page and I subsequently decided to place a proper “contact form” there instead. This removed the comment functionality from the contact page and all the aforementioned comments disappeared along with it.
So here’s what I did:
I retrieved those comments and put them here on this page and hope that going forward folks will continue to use this page as the primary outlet to voice opinion using the blog style comments function that is available here.
[Note:For your information, I've turned comments off on some pages that are placed on the blog that primarily meet more or less generic objectives (ex., Privacy Page).]
Keep in mind that because I have bots and other concerns trying to post for less than genuine reasons all posts are automatically sent to a pending area for approval. I intend to publish all “real” comments unless they are to far flung in the realm of bad taste i.e., especially foul language, racism, etc.
So have at it. Be nice.

Forget the federal government they knew that extension wouldn’t help any body who really needed it so go help Haiti and any other country instead of your own people-traders

Have you been restructured yet?
http://www.examiner.com/unemployment-in-spokane/restructuring-the-masses
The American people are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, a disease common to kidnap victims. They have begun to embrace whatever moronic solutions put forth by their kidnappers (the rich). There is a way out but public opinion trumps common sense, they will not form UXA type organizations until they are stuck in a bread line. By the time that they realize that we can organize outside of the system they will be too poor to be effective.
Hey 99er’s, I just became a statistic in November. I find it hard to believe that I and millions of others are being judged and or ignored by our fabulous Gov’t. The very same folks who created this situation are now turning their back on us when the situation has not gotten better! I am sure many others are also being judged by family, friends, spouses, etc.
What I notice is that anyone who has a job can not understand what it is like to send out resume after resume and hear nothing, or get a rare interview and still not get the job. How do we manage not to take it personally?
I have worked since I was a kid, walked neighbors dogs, paper route, fast food, retail, you name it, I covered a lot of job experiences! I never had a problem landing a job in my life. I finally decided upon a career when I was 30. I was always creative and landed in The Home Improvement Industry as a Kitchen & Bath Designer. I loved it! I spent 10 years honing those skills, went through a couple of lousy employers and finally ended up in a great job with nice people, nice boss, etc.
As everything was going along well and I had helped this small company take it to the next level, I watched the economy take a turn. I tried warning my boss but he wouldn’t listen. Then came the fateful day, a couple of weeks before Christmas 08, he came to me with tears in his eyes telling me he had to let me go along with everyone else.
I had no idea I wouldn’t be able to land another job. Every job I applied for, the few out there I was qualified for, I didn’t get. I have applied for everything I think I can do but with 10 years of one career behind me, so many people clamoring for every job, I haven’t stood a chance. So many do not even contact you at all and the jobs I have been lucky enough to interview for wanted to pay “commission only.” I have played that game before and ended up losing my bank account, at this point, I can’t afford to lose anything because I have nothing.
People are not remodeling, the prices of homes are dropping, the banks aren’t giving loans, that is death to my industry. I cannot afford to go out and learn a new career that I am not even interested in just so I can fit into one of the categories the Gov’t has jobs for.
I sold the last of my stock that I tried to pretend I didn’t have last October and I have just enough to last me maybe another month or two tops. Then what? I like to try and stay hopeful but with so many disappointments, I find it hard to keep up the positive thoughts. Sometimes I think between the constant disappointments and the fact that my resume shows I have been out of work for so long, it’s made my chances even worse.
I thank God that I have a supportive Mom and significant other and will never be on the streets, but I don’t want to have to leave my sweetheart because I can no longer pay the rent or my bills. They both have helped me out a great deal already!
I can’t sleep well, I am always fighting not to get depressed but it’s getting thin. I have clinical depression as it is and spend much of the time fighting it so it does not take me over.
Sorry to sound so pathetic when I know there are people much worse off than I. I just want the Gov’t to get the hell out of our way and quit screwing things up for the rest of us. I WANT TO WORK!!!!!!! I want my dignity back, I want my life and freedom back.
Hey Mr. Vice President, WTF?
http://www.examiner.com/unemployment-in-spokane/wrong-words-joe
Unite All 99ers Let Politicians Know We Are Strong Let Them Know Our Vote Counts. If We Can Get Into Millions Of 99ers Uniting They Will Pay Attention.
Everything For Politicians Is Surveys Public Opinion
When They See We Are Strong Our Voice Will Echo Theuout The Nation Politicians Will Respond No Matter Demorcract Or Republican.99ers Lets Not Complain About Our Politicians They Already Know They Are Doing A Bad Job. Thats Why They Fight Each Other
Thay Want To Blame Each Other.
Politicians Will Never Work Together In Public yes Behind The Scenes NEVER. 99ers Lets Unite Our Vote Can Make Or Break A Politician. People Will See This And They Will Follow Us. What Hurts Is That We Worked So Many Years, Paid Our Taxes Tried To Make The American Dream A Reality For All. Politicians Limit Us With Our Own Tax Money Back So We Can Just Make It To Survive. Yes They Call Us Lazy Becaue We Are Using Tax Dollars To Live And Pay Our Bills. 99ers I Am With You. I Am A 99er, I Lost Everything. I Gave Up. Thirty Years Working Hard And Now I Have Nothing To Show For It. OUR VOICE WILL BE HEARD IF WE ALL UNITE.
I agree that the 99ers need to unite but disagree that politics is the solution. The government has failed the people, giving them another chance to screw us falls under Einstein’s description of insanity. I plan to build some power generating rafts this coming spring, perhaps some of the unemployed engineers out there might design a car that can be charged up with a 12 VDC system. If we keep the design simple and efficient we would have no trouble selling the system all over the world.
Frances Fox Piven wrote an article for The Nation recently that every unemployed worker should read. Entitled Mobilizing the Jobless, it encourages the unemployed to exercise their Constitutional right to organize and protest for jobs and job creation legislation. Predictably, the article was met with outrage and even death threats from the far right. Barbara Ehrenreich had a piece in the LA Times on Wednesday discussing the death threats. Read here for more: http://andthisourlife.com/2011/01/29/drowning-in-prosperity/
Hello America, I’m a 99er. I was a car salesman when America help the Big Banks out n I was selling people cars that are 99er and cars are being Repoed. America from my understanding help the Big Sharks n never the Small Fish. I’m a single, unmarried blk male, with no kids but, I feel so,so sorry for the ppl that have Families, homes, cars etc. I don’t mind sleeping place to place cause it’s only me but, a Father, Single parent, are Grand parent that has to provide for the little ones, I have mercy for. If there is a God, We the ppl, Need you ASAP. Thank u.
I feel that our congressmen and women, senators and President has forgotten us 99er’s like an old worn out shoe. We are the old news and those new unemployed are the new news. Once this extension is over will there be another for them? Who really knows. Most of us could go homeless and jobless for a long time. I am one of those that lives in an area where the jobs are few and far in between. I say this, as for those in government that live in your districts, VOTE THEM OUT ELECTION TIME! Show them we mean business. Only those with an extreme can get Welfare. If you have to many cars or property they won’t help us! I have been writing my districts leaders in government for a long time and I get the same old crap. As I said, ELECTION DAY, VOTE THEM OUT AND SHOW THEM WE MEAN BUSINESS EVEN THOUGH THEY DON’T!

As a fellow 99er, I would like to invite all 99ers to review and learn more about the career development resources and tools noted at http://www.AdvancedCareerDevelopment.com. This is not for everyone, but, if you are open minded and willing to engage new thinking relative to career development and employment, take a look.

A fun article, a spoof on the big game this weekend…
http://www.examiner.com/unemployment-in-spokane/the-super-bill-the-spirit-of-the-big-game-this-weekend
Here’s a new one: lets organize a Million Man 99ers’ Rally for this coming Labor Day on the Mall in D.C. Certainly out of 15,000,000 people out of work, and 4,000,000 of us having already gone through our entire unemployment income, we can muster enough 99ers that even idiots like John Boehner and Michell Bachman wont be able to pretend we don’t exist, or that most of those of us now on welfare are supposedly a bunch slackers and derelicts who supposedly never had jobs or worked a day in our lives.
You can march, petition and threaten the powers that be all you want, but as long as you are dependent on their fiat money, you are their slave. End your slavery by producing your own wealth. Dan and I have shown you how to escape your bondage but only you can do it. Rather than spend what little money that you have going to Washington it would be better spent creating the jobs that you want. Dan and I will never be where you are but we can still understand how you got there.
You got where you are by buying into the idea that you had to work for a capitalist and borrow money to have a place to live and a car to drive. Speculation drove up the prices of housing beyond your reach so you borrowed hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy $20,000 worth of materials on $2,000 worth of land. Had you saved up the money and built the house with a few friends that had saved up money for their homes you could have built your house for pennies on the dollar. In 1982 a 70 year old man and I built three houses near Wanship Utah, we did it in 5 months. It is not rocket science, but it is, gasp, manual labor.
When your house and car cost far more than they are worth and you owe money on them, then you can no longer compete with the third world. The lifestyle that you are headed for is that you will become a member of the newest third world country, the ‘good’ news is that you will not have to emigrate to get there. You can choose a Spartan existence for a few years to build up your wealth or you can just wait until it is imposed upon you by others. It is not that you are a bunch of slackers and derelics, it is that you just cannot let go of the myth that you can somehow control the government.
I just emailed the president to ask for a refund of the donations I made to his campaign, before my job was swallowed, before I became a 99er. Don’t know if I’ll get it back, but the administration seems to be ignoring us completely, and I think I’d rather use the money I donated on bills.
Companies like IBM continue to lay-off U.S. employees and outsource their jobs to people outside of the U.S. in the belief it increases their profits and reduces costs. The reality is that the outsourcing is reducing quality of, confidence in, reliability of the products and services. This outsourcing is destabilizing our entire U.S. workforce. It is a game to make up for the business lost due to shoddy, inadequate services and products.
Further, companies like IBM are continuing to import foreign workers to work at U.S. locations, taking jobs that could be offered to the U.S. unemployed. They do not even consider U.S. workers who are in great supply and willing to work for the same wages as h1b1 workers.
The U.S. government, federal and state, should cease awarding contracts to IBM until they STOP shedding U.S. workers and until they importing foreign labor.
U.S.-based corporations, particularly those which rely on U.S. consumers for business, should also ban doing business with companies that outsource like IBM that outsource.
It’s not fair or right that countries that do not spend equitably on American goods or services should get our jobs. RETURN AMERICAN JOBS TO AMERICANS, NOW!
I meant the poor quality of outsourced jobs and overseas manufactured products cause the loss in business, creating a vicious cycle. The company must cut costs because they are losing the business due to the declining quality of their workforce. RETURN AMERICAN JOBS TO AMERICANS NOW!
Just posted a new article… http://www.examiner.com/unemployment-in-spokane/don-t-touch-my-junk
The only way to keep them from touching your junk is not to play their game. When you work a ‘regular’ job you put your future in the hands of others. When an employer no longer needs your work you are expendable. When you work for yourself you are responsible for your future. Being self employed is the greatest measure of what you are really worth. If your work is of exceptional quality you will always have work. If your work is mediocre, you will starve.
I could not draw unemployment insurance even if I wanted it. I will not get a retirement check when I ‘retire’. This does not matter because I have not played the game. I have a wealth that most cannot comprehend, it is the ability to survive without government or industry.
Oddly enough I have met with extreme resistance when I try to teach others these skills. My original plan was to build a self sufficient island for my girlfriend and I to retire on. I thought that the idea for an island was a logical solution to the unemployment and homeless problems so I tried to include them.
These skills, apparently, are non transferable. Rather than continue to annoy the unemployed and homeless with jobs that are out of their reach I will return to the original plan. Good luck.
Does it seem to anyone that TEAM OBAMA is using the plight of the long term unemployed to bring down the unemployment rate to an electable number for 2012? As Robert Gibbs ends his tenure as spokesperson for the Admin. I can still hear him say again and again that the unemployed “through no fault of their own” face a very dire economic landscape. Then it was a political advantage for the Pres. to side with the jobless in the wake of corporate scandals. Not a member of TEAM OBAMA will even discuss adding unemploymnet benefits or even frame a dialogue about job training. My suggstion for job creation is to build an endless solar field in Nevada and offer paid transportation and free housing for two years to anyone struggling to find work in this economy. Build it and they will come!
You think that they could have extended the 2400.00 exemption on our tax returns to the unemployemnt benefits? We have run out of benefits so have no money and no job,and to push the knife in a little deeper for 2010 they are taking away the piddly little help of not paying taxes on the first 2400 that we were allowed in 2009. 2010 on the tax returns we have to pay on all funds recieved. Just adding to our burden. Unbelievable.
I’m wondering if anyone in the long term unemployed position has learnt their lesson. If you were one of the people who believed in Welfare reform has you finally releazed that sometimes there isn’t a job out there.
I also wonder why the country is still handing out work visas. No work visas should be issued to anyone until the unemployement rate is back to 4%.
Everyone has their story, I surely have mine. I have a post graduate degree, I’m a professional. I have skills, abilities, education, and a heart. I have applied, I have done everything. I was told by a credit union in 2009 to beg, borrow and steal, to pay back a $400 salary advance. It is not in my nature to do any of the three; however, I have skills and a voice: SO PLEASE READ:
We are the 99ers, we want to work, we have contribute to the economy, most likely more ways than we could ever explain under this ‘Modern Depression’ (Great Recession), we are employable, we have, I’m sure most of have, helped many others in the last 2 years. We must be resource for others, but we are at our end.
I’ve studied my great grandfather, who employed up to 15 people all in the 1930s. What an inspiration he has been for 2 years for me. I know more about people, and their vision and dedication to a workforce.
I have tried, and I have networked, and done what state requirements and more, to find meaningful, just employment, and any type of employment. I have ended up, technically homeless, in the last 6 weeks, and 35,000 a week of us, and the new 140,000 a month are losing this money, this life blood for us all. We deserve better, we shall not be forgotten, and it is with this note, to us all, to SPEAK UP, and have your and our voice heard. This is not a revolution, and this is not 1930s, in where many helped others.
Many help no one in this economy, and it is there, in which, I humbly leave this to the U.S.A and the U.S. Congress to consider a real emergency extension, we are not Welfare Babies we are those who are left behind in this struggle, that we did not create. And Hire us somebody, with respect to you all, God Speed U.S.A. and the U.S. Congress, vote for this with a heart.
There are jobs out there, just not conventional jobs. The lesson that I learned long ago is not to depend on help from the government. The best thing that you can learn is to have faith in yourself. You could learn how a previous generation solved the problem of unemployment at http://red-coral.net/UXA_Article.html and form a UXA type co-op where you live. If you are near the Quad Cities Il./Ia. you can join us at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Pioneeradventure/ Learn to think outside the box and you will never be unemployed again.
I am so so scared – I lost over 7500 in unemployment bc I took a part-time job cashiering on the weekends. The other cashier, who was cheating on her husband with the boss, didn’t like me and I had to leave. In the big scheme of things I don’t like associating/working with people who sleep in their car during their shift, or say terrible things as soon as the customers leave the store, or who trash their kids, but it was an unfair parting of ways, and mine was a human price paid that was far too steep, and now a hardship loan, with all of it’s subsequent fees….god I broke down crying last night after I figured the bills. I keep trying, but I am really hard pressed to have faith.
Anna,
The deserts are full of semi precious stones that can just be picked up, with a simple rock tumbler you can make them worth a few dollars apiece. The good news is that you can pick up hundreds of them every day.
Most states will allow you to cut dead and standing or fallen trees that can be made into lumber, fence posts and firewood.
States along the Mississippi/Ohio/Missouri river system will allow you to catch all of the asian carp you want.
Aluminum cans can be picked up everywhere, once or twice a year you can go to the recycle center and trade a pickup bed full of them for hundreds of dollars.
Most communities have “pick up days” when they allow homeowners to put out large items for pickup. These days are a gold mine of scrap metal, fixable items, lumber, furniture et cetera.
Hand made craft items are inexpensive to make and sell very well at swap meets.
None of the jobs listed (or the thousands of similar jobs not listed) are full time jobs but they do help and pay cash. The more jobs that you make the better that you will do.
Before you lose faith in yourself you should try some of the jobs listed, they do provide income.
Hopelessness is a lonely place.
I wrote a note last year, posting my story of being a 99er. My unemployment benefits ran out in Aug 2010. I have been unemployed since Sept 2008. I went into school right away to get skills in a allied health field and graduated with a 4.0 GPA in June 2010. I’ve applied for so many jobs that I can no longer keep track of them. It’s become a “just apply” for anything I may even closely qualify for. I painted my resume on a 4′ x 6′ piece of plywood and stood out in front of a major hospital in my suit and tie in the freezing November rain. I got lots of peace signs and honks but no offers.
My wife is working two jobs, so I am lucky. But the pressure to find anything is getting to be too much. Why do people think that Starbucks and McDonalds is going to hire us all and save the world? I have medical skills, not coffee skills. Sure I am trainable, so why not be trainable in more medical skills.
I finally got a volunteer position in a medical research lab. I am giving them 30 hrs a week I am learning many new skills to add to my resume, but it cost me $5.00 a day in bus fare. I am hoping this position is a “foot in the door” kind of position.
So now comes the Hopelessness. The phone and internet gets shut off each month on the 20th due to lack of payment. The electricity was shut off a few weeks ago due to lack of payment. The IRS shut down our horse boarding business because we can’t show a profit. But they went back to 2008 and re-filed our taxes and now we owe them thousands of dollars. I have to go down to the post office weekly to pick up the certified letters they are sending me to remind me that I owe. My wife thinks I’m not doing anything because I can’t show any results in job finding. She’s still mad that I didn’t want to apply for a job at the local craft store last Christmas.
I feel worthless….
Last week I tried to end my life. I have not told anyone except my Dr and my wife. I tried to overdose on medications in order to just go to sleep and not wake up. It seemed like the thing to do at the time. my wife had just threatened me with divorce by phone text. I was finally ok with what I wanted. I made my peace with God, I wrote no notes, no letters, didn’t think about anyone other than myself. I wanted to sleep and just not wake up. I didn’t want to use any other method, afraid that it might hurt. I just wanted to slip away from this horrible life.
I woke up the next morning with a headache. I didn’t know how to feel. I wasn’t disappointed, yet wasn’t relieved either. No one knew anything I had just done.
I knew I had opened up a can of worms. I called my Dr and told him what I had just done.
I told him that all I needed was someone to talk to once in a while about how I am feeling. I can’t afford the co-pay for the kind of services I need.
I cannot be the most desperate person in this country, I still have a roof over my head, something to eat, and so many things to be thankful for. Yet I can’t seem to find the energy to be thankful.
Because I’ve been depressed since 2008, I am now officially “Major Depressive Disorder”. Gee that makes me feel even better. And will certainly help me in my job search. I needed someone to talk to, just to vent a bit about how and why I was feeling the way I feel.
I hope that each of us are able to find someone to talk to, and not do what I had done.
I am sorry for what I had done, but only because I know I have upset my family.
I think all the 99ers and all of the unemployed should start a march from their homes and march on DC to personally express how bad off we are.
I figure they would have to respond when 14million US Citizens show up to knock on a door.
Hey Dan,
Keep leaving your comments here if it helps. Why rush to make an exit? None of us will get off the planet alive when it’s all said and done. Maybe you think I’m being a simpleton but start working out or running. Eat right too. It really helps.
Dan,
If what you are doing is not working, do something else. Einstein said “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”. Start up a UXA http://red-coral.net/UXA_Article.html co-op, you already have a paramedic. Read the article, it will tell you step by step how to proceed.
Cut your expenses for as long as it takes to get started, Spartans are very successful. Never be afraid to learn something outside of your comfort zone, that is where the fun is. When you change I suspect that your wife will change too, confidence gets respect.

I have been contacting my Senator and Representative every week for over a year, I have also been sending letters and emails to all of my local news stations.
I inform them all of the plight of 99ers and direct them to multiple sources of information regarding 99ers. I am often surprised by how few 99ers are contacting the government and the news media regularly. In talking firsthand with several different reporters and newspaper editors they all said they rarely hear from anyone about this issue. It’s no wonder they don’t spend much effort on reporting the 99ers plight. I must stress we all have to be more active, Online posting isn’t enough. We have to be relentless are we will never succeed.
Contact your Senator and Representative.
Contact every news media in your region.
And Contact them regularly, get your family, friends, everyone you know to contact them as well. If you have to hold their hand, dial the phone for them, type the letter and they can sign it. people with jobs and comfort rarely want to be inconvenienced or go an inch out of their way to help. Shame them if you have to, but get them moving.
Why is the news media posting the lowest rate of unemployment in months when it is the highest for a fact. They get their information from unemployment agencies where people are requesting for benefits not all those that have exhausted benefits and are just losing everything. This is not a fair statement by the government and it is not a true one. Maybe we all need to go to unemployment anyway and everyone start requesting benefits so that we can be seen.
Hey Mar,
Yep I was driving around doing my truck gig and the radio talking heads seemed to think the new numbers were a stretch. I’m thinking about doing a series of videos to teach you guys how to get up a personal web-site. One destination for your resume that isn’t diluted by everyone else. We need a new paradigm to get you guys an edge.
I know I am a experience financial services representative and its like I put in for the same type of job and have been told my resume is excellent but I get back email after qualified only.
I don’t know if any of you follow this blog, I recommended that you do. There is great news there.
Ok, I am a Dork. I forgot to copy and paste the address. Check out this blog http://99eract.blogspot.com/
Good Day to all…
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” My fellow 99ers I am a mother of four children my husband and I were also laid of from work we had a newborn on our hands and three little ones to feed as well expensive rent and bills but when times are rough you can’t sit and cry you must find your refuge in God and have faith looks for resources and believe in the magic of the universe all is possible,, I lived in New york born and raise and one day we just picked up and moved to the Dominican Republic deAD BROKE But God gave us strenght and courage and Thanks to him we are now working and happy you can all do the same Fight for your freedom we all have a porpuse on earth dont hold on to material values that all stays in the End !!
My partner Brian is an excellent jack of all trades. After he lost his truck driving job last spring he came here to live with June and me. He was going to make a years wages plowing snow with my plow this winter. The snow which usually begins october 15th had not begun by november 10th and he lost faith in self employment. When a trucking company offered him a job he took it, it was an expensive mistake.
The very day that Brian left it began snowing and has left record snows since then. The average plow owner this year has already made $50,000 plus and there are a few months left of snow season. The experience with Brian made me see why the 99ers have so much trouble striking out on their own.
Brian was the ideal candidate for self employment, he is strong, bright and has a set of tools second only to mine. He owns a 5 acre homestead in the Ozarks and has no debt. The sad thing is that over the years he has become addicted to a paycheck, he lacks the one requirement needed for self employment, the ability to adapt. If you learn one thing from this depression it should be how to adapt to changing conditions.
Mark Zandi estimates that the multiplier for the short-term compensation program would be relatively high: for every dollar spent on the program, $1.69 would be added to our economy’s output. Why is this a bad thing?
Read and pass along to as many as you can alot of people need help! We will win this war!

Dan and I have been discussing ways to get the 99ers back on their feet. We have come up with an idea that may do just that. Years ago I invented a method for using the waste heat of a gasoline engine to produce hydrogen fuel. I tested the idea and it worked but there were some problems that needed to be ironed out. I would like to make you all partners in perfecting the idea and producing the final product.
I built the prototype out in the desert using hand tools and an acetylene torch so it is not rocket science. It took me a couple of weeks to build and to get it to work properly. I had no need for the money or the headaches so I did not pursue the idea after the testing period. Below is a portion of our emails (read from the bottom message up) that describes the idea and how the 99ers can get involved.

It is not that I lack the ability to run a multi-national company, it is that I have no desire to run a multi-national company. The secret to success is to be happy doing what you are doing, the corporate world has never made me happy. If the 99ers want to become involved in building my invention I expect them to come in as full partners, sharing the costs as well as the profits. I have always found that partners will work 10 times as hard as employees because they have a stake in the success of the business.
As I would be only one partner among many we would avoid the ‘Steve Jobs’ type problem of an aging guru being responsible for the success or failure of the company. Since not all of the 99ers have money I believe that there should be a way for them to use their labor as payment for becoming a partner. To earn money to pay for wages until the invention creates a profit we would have to produce items that we can sell.
I like the water wheel rafts as they are inexpensive to build, reliable and there is a good market for them. People along the river spend thousands of dollars on fuel every time it floods, the water wheels will save them a lot of money. People that live along the river have the money to buy what they want or need without having to borrow the money.
As the water wheels can pump water (high torque, low speed) they would not all need to produce electricity. We could sell different designs that are specific to the needs of the customer. Running a business and producing the product themselves would teach the 99ers that they do not need the multi-national corporations, the corporations need them.

Really? Think you should be running a multi-national conglomerate instead

Fuel cells are great for storing energy from other sources that would
normally be wasted (windmills, dams et cetera) but there is a 20% loss
of conversion that most people ignore. This creates a net loss for the
system if it is a closed system. The only reason that my hydrogen
engine worked is that it used energy that is normally wasted to produce
the hydrogen.
The 292 engine running on the power curve (2,300 rpm) produces 671,000
cubic inches of hot exhaust per minute. At an exhaust temperature of
900 degrees that is a considerable amount of energy being wasted.
Perhaps that unemployed mechanic in north Chicago might be interested
in working on the invention. To really develop the idea we might
require a machinist and a welder as well.
I never told you why the engine blew up. I had generator trouble on
the road so I stopped off to have it fixed. To save time I went across
the street to eat and just told the mechanic to change the generator. When I
went back he was already finished and I just took off. It seems that he
did not have a generator so he put an alternator on instead, but did
not say anything.
My system was designed to put the oxygen down the venturi and the
hydrogen down through the intake manifold. An alternator reverses
polarity so hydrogen and oxygen were produced at the anode and the
cathode. By the time it got up to operating temperature I was 20 miles
down the road. When the backfire occurred there was hydrogen all
through the system instead of just the intake manifold.
I believe that the system is safe enough but the explosion made me
think about the possibility of an accident and possible lawsuits.
Perhaps a fuel injection system would be safer and a warning on the
generator would solve the problem.
WTF is wrong with you people? Petitions and marches may be great fun but they will not turn the Republican House. These people owe their jobs to the conservatives that put them in office, it would be political suicide for them to pass a 99er extension. Rightly or wrongly, nothing is going to happen before the next election.
You have been told how to create jobs and co-op organizations that can help you but you continue to beat a dead horse. Get off your asses and make your own jobs. There is a TV show “Are you smarter than a 5th grader?” I ask you if you are smarter than a 9th grader.
This ninth grade dropout owns his house outright, has businesses, drives a fucking race car and has no debt. Did your college education fail you? Like Dan I started out to help you people with no thought of financial reward but I am losing patience with you.
I have to wonder how a mechanic can be unemployed when all of the local mechanics (some of them working out of their garages) are working 10 hours a day 6 days a week and raking in the cash.
If you were bright enough to graduate college then you should be bright enough to create a job, if not, perhaps you can get your money back.
Who apppointed you judge and jury. This is exactly what’s wrong with the 99ers people like you that don’t know what you are talking about. We get it and have gotten it, and we are living through it and surviving. “We’ve been told,” you said. Your mentality is way off base.
Our parents came up through the ranks and were successful. Our parents wanted better for us. They sent us to college, and remember we have to pay back those loans that stay with us for a lifetime, so you must work to pay them down. Those were different times you speak about. Today when every door shuts in our face, you try it. I have no doubt you are very secure in your job. If you really were sincere, you would see the cards stacked up against the people. I’ve lost patients with your kind. We are the same people that have been contributing right along keeping America strong. You’re the weak link.
You are out for yourself Buddy.

Sandy,
I am not the judge and jury, nature is. You have chosen your path and I have chosen my path. Thank you for making America what it is, take heart, the weak link is leaving.
Jerry.
Perhaps you should tell everyone where you went to college. Since they failed to teach you grammar, spelling, sentence structure and conceptual thought it would be wise to prevent them from destroying other young minds.
